Market City Cafe @ Market City

One afternoon during the lunch break, sister-in-law drove us to Market City for a simple lunch. We went to Market City Cafe which is operated by a Vietnamese.

We've been anticipating to try the fish & chips in Australia. We wanted some fresh fish fillets, not like the frozen dory fish we have in Malaysia. Hence, we ordered 2 sets of fish meal to share among 3 of us.

Grilled fish is definitely a better choice you want to taste the original flavor. So, here's the grilled fish with salad and chips... The "small" serving costs A$8.20, but it turned out to be a huge serving! I also got to taste the red fresh beetroot for the first time. It's sweet!

We ordered another set of deep fried fish and chips. According to SIL, these were Basa fish fillets. Deep sea fish is always oily. Hubby and I just tried a little bit and before we can finish them we were full. Luckily, we just opted for 2 sets, otherwise, we really couldn't finish up our fish & chips. No regrets for this simple meal. :)

    SimpleGirl, yup totally agree!

Buzzingbee, yes, it's reasonable with that huge serving.

My Taste Heaven, once I got an circulated email saying that those Dory fish imported from Vietnam contains poison. From the day onwards, I restricted myself from taking any fish and chips.

  15. I've always prefer F&C than steak or chops. Sure will hunt for one if I'm to visit any Western countries.

  16. Jason, you know how I feel each time I take F&C? I feel less guilty, hehe...
