Breakfast @ Joo Leong Cafe

On Labor Day, hubby and I took our breakfast at Joo Leong Cafe. It's located at Sg. Tiram, opposite to Dynacraft Industries, Penang. This cafe is very famous for its breakfast in the morning and seafood porridge during the night time. Every time I pass by this cafe, it's always crowded.

Joo Leong Cafe is an old shop by the road side. Finding a parking space is always the problem facing.

Both of us ordered a cup of hot coffee. It's too sweet to my liking. :(

While awaiting for our toasts, hubby got us a pack of nasi lemak with sambal ikan bilis. Anyway, it's so so only, and we even forgot to take a photo of it. The ikan bilis is not crispy at all. :(

Here come our toasts. We ordered 2 toasts each. We sprinkled some sugar to make it more delicious.

And the toasts tasted yummy once dipped with half boiled eggs. :P

The breakfast cost us RM7.70.

I will only go there once in a blue moon or only when need to catch a flight. Honestly, their toast and eggs are one of the best compared to others, even Ipoh Old Town.

hi new kid, this is just the first time I tried their breakfast. In fact, the first time eating out for toasts, haha, so no comparison from me.

J2Kfm, if you're working at Bayan Lepas Free Trade Zone, then this place should sound familiar to you.

I've never go there during breakfast. But I have tried before the seafood porridge and even during dinner, they do sell the toast bread!!
I frankly feel the seafood porridge there is over-priced. Anywhere else to get nice seafood porridge but at a reasonable price?

buzzingbee, yea, agree. Their seafood porridge is over charge. Last time I order seafood beehoon soup with 2 little pieces of fish, 2 fishballs, and 2 quail's egg cost for RM8. Some hawker stall also can get the seafood porridge with less variety, but taste better & of course much more cheaper.

PenangTuaPui, yea their food is pricey, especially the seafood porridge. We can see lots of branded expensives cars park along the road during the night time. They all go for seafood poridge there.

The ingredients they used for the seafood porridge is different compare to other in Penang. They using fresh white pomfret, and fresh prawn. The taste is kind of different compare to others, and they measure it well so people get a fair bit of what they are paying. Don't miss the satay which has a nice satay sauce and the salted chicken.
