I would like to introduce you to my new kitchen helper - the Philips AirFryer. After considering for few hours, finally we brought back a unit of it, yesterday. So far, it's the most expensive appliance in my kitchen. Though, it is expensive, but I think it worths the price when comes to the healthy frying cooking. Now, I don't need to add oil to fry seafood, meat and snacks. We can savor more fried food that I don't used to cook at home.
I can't wait any longer to test its performance. My first attempt: Air-Fried Fish, or best described as Grilled Fish. Hubby and I are quite happy with how the fish tastes. It's crispy at the outside and juicy inside. I serve it with home made dips (bird's eye chili, tomato, shallots, calamansi juice, salt and sugar). Voilà!
Grilled Fish
Ingredients:
Small fishes (I used kembung fish)
sea salt and turmeric powder for marinades
Steps:
1. Cut and remove intestines from the fishes. Clean and pat dry.
2. Marinate the fish for 30 minutes.
3. Arrange fish in the airfryer basket. Air-fry at 180 degC for the first 5 minutes. Then, 200deg C for another 8 minutes.
4. Serve hot with your favorite chili sauce.

I have been eyeing that machine as well! if this is better or tefal I wonder? I love fried food but hate the fat that goes with it! this seems to be a perfect solution!
ps- sorry, got too excited there! Love the fried fish too- it looks fantastic using this machine!
do you need a lot of oil for deep frying??
New Kid, you don't need a single drop of oil for the air-frying. The medium is air rather than oil.
Sounds a bit like my Actifry! My mum is thinking of getting once of this as well.
Ooh, what a fun new gadget! Great looking whole fish!
This looks like a very useful appliance, great for cutting fat out of the cooking.
Love your new gadget. Healthy and interesting. :))
Cool gadget! Hubby will love this dish :)
Wow! I must really take a look at this Fryer! Sounds cool! Thanks for sharing!
Fried in air? No oil required!? Wow wow wow! Super high-tech!
Wow, looks like a great gadget to have in the kitchen. I will have to hint to my Quay Lo. I like that fact that is no oil required.
Wow, I am very intrigued, but without the oil, is it still considered fried? I will have to check out this appliance and see if it's available in the US. :)
Ah... so this is a bit like the Tefal Actifry then.. I am very interesting in getting one now!
Hi, do you think i can fry fresh salmon fillet or fresh sting rat in the air fryer?
Hi, can you 'fry' fresh salmon fillet/stingray in the air fryer?
I have tried to fry salmon, just season salmon with salt and pepper, nothing else. No need to add oil. Fry for 200 degree and it tast yummy.
Hi All,
I bought my airfryer few days ago and so far found it good. I've picked it as a case study for my product-design course, and I'll appreciate if you some of you can spend few mins sharing your experiences so far with the Airfryer--less than 2 for sure. Your few answers will be of immense help to me (plus its a good karma). The questions are at- http://abhinavjain.polldaddy.com/s/airfryer
Thank you all,
Best,
-AJ
Thank you for sharing this recipe using the airfryer. I am searching for recipes that contain only fruit, vegetables, beans, nuts and fish for my husband's strict diet.
How do you make sure the fish does not stick on the air fryer's net? I tried but the the fish is sort of stick to the net and it did not turn out to be like yours! Aporeciate advices. Tq.
Anonymous, the bottom of the fish stick too, but u can reduce it by applying some cooking oil to the net or layer it with aluminum foil.
Dear frens,

I am looking for the Philips Airfryer XL. Where can I buy in MALAYSIA?
Anonymous, I bought it from Harvey Norman. I saw it in AEON also.
I love that it can fry food without grease and the extra calories and fat that come with using a regular fryer.
Cooking food through an air fryer is often a healthy option to deep-frying applying gas.
Hot air fryers make use of excited air rather than very hot gas to help make meals meals.
A trendy label of this heat stove that makes use of this preparing container may be the Philips.
Grilled recipe of fish looks very yummy.. I am going to buy now Air Fryer to make a Delicious recipe..
