2 weeks ago hubby and I brought my parents to Sea Palace Restaurant for dinner. Every year, we'd treat my parents for a dinner as a form of gift for father's day and mother's day besides Ang Pau.
Sea Palace restaurant is located in Bagunan Lip Sin, Taman Pekaka. We heard that the food is not bad over here so we hopped in to give it a try :)
We ordered a total of 5 dishes for 4 person...
First is fried mixed vegetable (罗汉上斋)
The mixed vegetable is delicious and well done.
Second is stewed home-made bean curd (干贝豆腐)
The taufu is quite silky and yummy....nice & fragrant with nice sauce, love it.
Third is the garlic chilli steamed prawns, this dish is not in the menu but recommended by the waitress..
The prawn dish is so-so only, because the simple ingredient didn't bring out the taste.
Next is the deep fried vegetable roll (凤凰卷), my favourite dish of all...quite different from ordinary spring roll...taste really good, definitely recommended!
Last is the crispy mango sauce chicken (芒果酥炸鸡), taste not bad...but nowadays we can't eat too much of heavy stuff already :P...
Total it cost us RM85.37 for the dinner. The price is quite reasonable for 4 person with 5 dishes.

new kid, we also seldom go restaurant these days, but once in a while is ok la..
ck lam, u went there b4? any other dishes to recommend?
daphne, it is a nice place for dinner, but sometimes during wedding season the place may be full.
buzzingbee, yes, i like both of them also :P
I am surprised that is rather cheap. Will try that out in the near future.
I used to visit all these restaurants and found their food to be too "wedding dinner" style. Two recommended places would be Feng Wei at Jalan Sri Bahari and Star View at Jalan Burmah. At least these two restaurants do change their menu on and off.
this is so near to my ex-rented apartment in Hamna!
we used to have the fried rice with Pai Kuat Wong (spare ribs) at the corner coffee shop facing Sea palace.
reason of get into this restaurant is al about "red boom"...
may be one day can try other type of food.....
hi andrew, price is reasonable there, do have a try...maybe can order other dishes and share with us :)
criz lai, thanks for sharing. We'll go and visit those shop when we are free.

Hi Penang tui pui, make sure you try the vegetable roll. It's yummy! Hope you like it!
Can't recommend much as the dishes that I had were quite common. I will definitely try the vegetable rolls on my next visit.
ck lam, hope you like it ya...
got ah! the pan mee on the way to PISA/Relau/Sg Ara using the back road, somewhere behind BJ Complex, situated right behind the flats. somehow that dry pan mee attracted me again and again.
J2Kfm, oh yea, now I remember. That pan mee got slim and thick, then small, medium, and large one, right? Hmm...quite sometime not visiting it already. Thanks for reminding me...
the price quite reasonable. will try it some day when go to south of the island...hee
gill gill, yea at first I thought the price will be expensive, but now I know still afforable. :) And I realize not much food additives also. That's what I like about the food there.
