Homecooked Chicken Combo Set

Lately, I've been so active in experimenting new recipes for pan-fried, oven-grilled and oven-baked chicken combo set. Unlike the Baked Chicken With Home Made Sauce, all of them just taste average, nothing to be proud of. For the health purpose, I substitute chicken thigh with skinned chicken breast, but the chicken breast turned out to be not so juicy. Perhaps if I use chicken thigh for the recipe, the dish will be much improved?

Ok, let's see what did I cook so far. The above is the pan-fried followed by oven-grilled chicken breast with mushroom and onion sauce.

Next, I have the lemon grass flavored oven-baked chicken set with baby carrots, cherry tomatoes and chad potatoes.

This was our dinner last night. Oven-baked herbs chicken with carrot and chad potatoes.

Come on, I have to encourage myself to never give up! Hopefully, I will have more successful Western platter soon.

Looks perfect to me and the food presentation is great too! You are right, chicken thigh is always better than chicken breast in term of its texture. ;)

Food For Tots and New kid, thanks. But I still not satisfy with the dishes, not up to my expectation yet. Anyway, your comments do encourage me to keep it up. Thank you!

It is well plated and photographed! Perhaps marinating the meat longer? Keep trying!

A tip I learned (cannot remember from where) is to marinate the chicken with sugar for a short while to tenderise it. Then wash off sugar before cooking. Worked for steamboat but have not tried for baking or grilling.

Duckie, something wrong with the connection?

Buzzingbee, taste average only, not like those serve in restaurant.

daphne, already marinated for at least 6 hours. May be it's because of chicken breast.

noobcook, I felt disappointed since it's not up to my expectation.

Tummythoz, oh sounds new to me. But I need to marinate the chicken with other seasoning wor, cannot wash after marinating.

550ml jar of faith, there's still room for improvement.
