I always spend my Sunday morning preparing big quantity of food that can be frozen for our weekdays' consumption. For example, home made pasta sauce and meat sauce. Today, I prepare a batch of meatballs. Later it can be used to make meatball spaghetti bolognese, meatballs in tomato sauce and others.
That's how I work out to cut down my cooking time on working days.
Pan-Fried Meatballs 炸肉丸Makes 25 meatballs
Ingredients:
500gm minced pork
1/2 onion, peeled and chopped
cooking oil
Marinades:
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
dashes of white pepper powder
1 egg yolk
1 tbsp corn flour
Steps:
1. Mix up he minced pork with chopped onion and marinades. Leave it for half an hour.
2. Shape the marinated minced pork into meatballs. Allocate the meat balls on a baking tray. Rub the surface with little bit of water for a smoother look.
3. Heat up oil in a non-stick pan. Pan-fry the meatballs in batches until golden brown.
4. Put in on kitchen towel to remove excess oil.
5. Serve it on its own, cook it into dishes or fridge it up for later use.

That is such a good idea to cook ahead. You must have really good time management skills! You just put me in the mood for meatballs!
The meatballs look so good and can be stored in the freezer, I definitely love to try this for sure.
Thanks for sharing :)
Yummy lookins meat balls...panfried seems to be interesting

It is a good way to cook batches of food during weekend to cut down the effort and time during weekdays. But you need to rest during weekends too. I do homemade pasta sauce too and freeze them.
These meatballs sound easy to make. I can try. Do you think I can use 1 whole egg instead of just the egg yolk?
Tigerfish, this is my first time using only the egg yolk. The earlier version all use whole egg, and the marinated pork turn out to be a little bit watery. So, I recommend to use only the yolk. The mixture is just nice.
Yesterday i made meat balls too . My hungry companions eate all.
The meatballs look delicious and how you can shape them so round :) Clever of you and panfried them makes them more healthier to eat :) Thanks for sharing such a wonderful meatball dish :)
Wow, looks so delicious! Great idea to freeze them too, though, I got to quickly hide them away in the freezer before the family saw that I have more! They love meatballs, fishballs! :)
